Generalised granuloma annulare successfully treated with PUVA

Disseminated granuloma annulare is an uncommon disorder in which both topic al and systemic therapy may have limited success. Anecdotal reports have su ggested that PUVA may result in complete clearance of disease; however, mai ntenance PUVA therapy has usually been required in order to maintain remiss ion. We report the successful treatment of a patient with 5-methoxypsoralen over a 7-month period who remained in remission during a 20-month follow u p period.
