Abstract
Here we describe the nucleotide sequence and expression pattern of a n ovel gene termed Coiled-coil-like protein 1 (Cclp1). A 2646bp open rea ding frame encodes a 882 amino acid protein with a predicted coiled-co il domain at the amino terminus. Cclp1 is expressed in a variety of ad ult tissues and during different stages of embryogenesis. The broad ex pression pattern suggests a general cellular function of CCLP1.
