Ys. Lai, Sensorless speed vector-controlled induction motor drives using new randomtechnique for inverter control, IEEE EN CON, 14(4), 1999, pp. 1147-1155
In the last decade, the features of random PWM techniques have been demonst
rated [2]; [13-21] for v/f controlled induction motor drive system. In this
paper, the advantages and special features of the newly developed random t
echnique [2] for inverter control are highlighted and demonstrated by exper
imental results of a sensorless vector-controlled induction motor drive sys
tem [1], It will be shown that the new random inverter control technique in
deed has some advantages over other irregular-sampled random techniques, in
cluding easy incorporation with a vector-controlled drive system and signif
icant reduction of computations, Experimental results from a DSP-based sens
orless vector-controlled drive system are presented in the paper confirming
the theoretical analysis, software and hardware design.
