Abstract
Ln paper, the influence of anisotropy degree and orientation of strength pr operties on destruction of materials under impact is investigated numerical ly and experimentally. The numerical modeling was carried out in three-dime nsional statement by a method of finite elements in frameworks of the conti nual approach of the mechanics of deformable solid. The destruction is desc ribed by tensor polynomial criterion of the fourth degree, which takes into account the influence of hydrostatic pressure. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science L td. All rights reserved.
