We report a case of benign colonic tubular adenoma arising in a 36-year-old
female at the site of ureterosigmoidostomy performed 25 years before. The
tumor was revealed by recurrent episodes of pyelonephritis; hydronephrosis
was present. On colonic enema, the tumor appeared lobulated, 4 cm in diamet
er. CT scan showed a multiloculated mass, which enhanced after injection. P
athology revealed a tubular adenoma of the colon with cystic dilatation of
glandular structures. The role of imaging studies in the follow-up of patie
nts after ureterosigmoidostomy is discussed.
