Xg. Li et al., Hydrogen absorption and corresponding changes in structure and thermal stability of Zr60Al10Ni30 amorphous alloy, J ALLOY COM, 297(1-2), 2000, pp. 303-311
Zr60Al10Ni30 amorphous alloy exhibiting a wide supercooled liquid region wa
s prepared by a melt-spinning technique. The hydrogen absorption properties
and corresponding changes in structure and thermal stability were then inv
estigated and compared with those in the crystalline state. Zr60Al10Ni30 am
orphous alloy absorbs hydrogen of 0.94 similar to 1.13 H/M betwen 473 and 7
23 K, but releases little in the desorption process. The hydriding induces
structural and thermal stability changes, which is dependent on the hydridi
ng temperature and the absorbed hydrogen content. The hydrogen absorption b
ehaviors in the amorphous state are seen to be quite different from those i
n the crystalline state. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved
