Abstract
The compound GdAgAl which crystallizes in the orthorhombic CeCu2-type struc ture was prepared. Spin glass behaviour was observed at low temperatures, A t high temperatues, the magnetic susceptibility obeys the Curie-Weiss law. Disorder of the nonmagnetic atoms sublattice leads to high electrical resis tivity value what influences the magnetic ordering. (C) 2000 Elsevier Scien ce S.A. Ail rights reserved.
