The interaction between magnetism and superconductivity is investigated wit
hin the theory of superconductivity for electrons in magnetic Bloch-states.
We show that the presence of an incommensurate helical magnetic structure
suppresses the superconducting order parameter only slightly, via the reduc
tion of the effective attraction. Consequences for the upper-critical-field
curve of HoNi2B2C and related compounds are discussed.
