The Role of High-Resolution Electrocardiography in Assessment of Efficacy o
f Class IA and III Antiarrhythmic Drugs in Potential of high-resolution ele
ctrocardiography for prediction of efficacy of class IA and III antiarrhyth
mic drugs was studied in 40 patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation of
different causes. Twelve patients received quinidine and 18 - amiodarone,
Significant reduction of Fi P and Un P duration was observed in those patie
nts in whom quinidine was effective while ineffective use of quinidine was
associated with increase of these parameters. No consistent changes of para
meters of high-resolution electrocardiography were related to effective/ine
ffective use of amiodarone.
