Abstract
Concentration maps have been visualized during electrodeposition of co pper on a pseudo-two-dimensional, U-shaped electrode from copper sulfa te solutions, using an optical absorption technique. From these maps, the active zone of the electrode, i.e., the zone where the current den sity is large, has been determined. Experimental results are in good a greement with numerical calculations performed on a system having a si milar geometry.
