Abstract
Combining hydrogen enrichment, segregation to grain boundaries and their ef fects on surface and plastic energies, a model was developed to predict thr eshold stress intensity factor for hydrogen induced intergranular cracking. For a tubular steel: the calculated K-IH/K-IC is 0.34 while the experiment ally determined value is 0.32, which is fairly consistent with the theoreti cal value.
