Abstract
Thrombosis resulting from intravenous immunoglobulin infusion is a relative ly unknown complication. We describe a patient who developed deep venous th rombosis of her left arm shortly after intravenous immunoglobulin administr ation. In addition, we review the thrombotic incidences reported in the lit erature and the possible association with hepatic veno-occlusive disease af ter bone marrow transplantation. Measures that can potentially prevent this complication are discussed.
