Abstract
Magnetic ground-state and dynamical properties of high-pressure synthe sized YbMn2 were characterized microscopically by Mn-55 NMR experiment s. A Mn-55 spectrum indicates that YbMn, is paramagnetic down to 4.2 K . The nuclear spin-lattice relaxation is dominated by the Yb moment fl uctuations below 30 K and by Mn spin fluctuations with antiferromagnet ic correlations at higher temperatures.
