Abstract
Solutions of (dfepe)(2)Ir-2(mu-H)3(H) (1; dfepe = (C2F5)(2)PCH2CH2P(C2F5)(2 )) react with 1 atm of ethylene at ambient temperatures to catalytically pr oduce a mixture of trans- and cis-2-butenes and the diiridium. methylallyl complex (dfepe)(2)Ir-2(mu-eta(1):eta(3)-C4H6)(mu-H)(H) (2).
