Kc. Chin et al., Primary T-cell-rich B-cell lymphoma in the kidney presenting with acute renal failure and a second malignancy, PATHOLOGY, 31(4), 1999, pp. 325-327
Infiltration of the kidney is commonly found in lymphoma, but acute renal f
ailure arising from bilateral renal infiltration is uncommon. Primary renal
lymphoma may occur and is usually of B-cell lineage. It is rare for patien
ts with lymphoma to develop acute renal failure as their initial clinical p
resentation. Recently, an association between primary renal lymphoma and a
second primary malignancy has been reported. We describe the first case of
a renal T-cell-rich B-cell lymphoma presenting as acute renal failure, whic
h was associated with a second primary pulmonary malignancy.
