Abstract
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) rarely metastasizes to the orbit. We report a case of a 78-year-old man with a past history of HCC, who presented with a periorbital mass, which was diagnosed as metastatic HCC by fine needle as piration cytology (FNAC) and subsequently confirmed on excision biopsy. The cytological, histopathological and immunohistochemical findings are presen ted and the differential diagnosis is discussed. To our knowledge there has been no previously reported case of HCC metastatic to the orbit diagnosed by FNAC.
