Abstract
With electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and electron nuclear double reso nance (ENDOR) the surrounding of the activator Eu2+ was investigated in SrF Cl single crystals. The analysis of the Eu2+ superhyperfine interaction wit h the nuclei of the next fluorine shells yielded that Eu substitutes for Sr 2+ and is not shifted from a regular lattice site. This result settles prev ious conflicting conclusions about such a shift.
