Abstract
Researchers continually search for new ways to peer noninvasively into the heart for signs of disease. Techniques such as electron-beam and spiral com puted tomography, contrast echocardiography, and high-speed magnetic resona nce imaging seem to offer great promise for detecting and mapping cardiac l esions, but none is quite ready to become part of the standard tool kit.
