The 68A MeV Li-11 + p scattering data are reanalysed in a microscopic frame
work. The real, imaginary and transition potentials are constructed in a si
ngle folding model using an isospin, density and momentum dependent finite-
range effective nucleon-nucleon interaction and several microscopic 11Li de
nsity distribution prescriptions for 11Li. The transition density is formul
ated in a soft-dipole resonance mode (SDR) by modifying the Goldhaber-Telle
r (G-T) model. Analyses of the angular distribution of the 1.3 MeV excited
state gives a result consistent with SDR excitation in 11Li with significan
t channel coupling effect.
