Electrocatalytic reduction of oxygen is an important subject because of its
connection with many important practical aspects. In this paper three clas
es of porphyrins (tetraphenylporphyrin, tetranetoxyphenylporphyrin and tetr
apyridylporphyrin) having as central metal iridium and platinum have been u
sed. The order of the electrocatalytic activity fbr all derivative porphyri
ns were established.
