In order to determine the microscopic role of cation A in ABO(3) perovskite
s the hyperfine interaction in the Sr1-xBaxHfO3 sys tem using Perturbed Ang
ular Correlation spectroscopy (PAC) is studied. As a previous result the co
mpositions x = 0.50 and 0.25 are shown. The PAC spectra were obtained in th
e temperature range from 20 to 1000 degrees C. In both compounds a phase tr
ansition to higher symmetry structure was observed at T approximate to 400
and 200 degrees C, respectively. This structure is proposed to be cubic in
both compositions. The results are compared with those obtained in SrHfO3 a
nd BaHfO3.
