A time dependent permeation method is used to measure the permeability
, diffusivity and solubility of deuterium in the low activation marten
sitic steels F82H and Barman. The measurements cover the temperature r
ange from 373 to 743 K which includes the onset of deuterium trapping
effects on diffusivity and solubility. The results are interpreted usi
ng a trapping model. The number of trap sites and their average energi
es for deuterium in F82H and Batman steels are determined.
