Abstract
Superconducting gap magnitude 2 Delta(o) is re-examined by STM/STS at T muc h less than T-c in Bi2212. It is confirmed that 2 Delta(o) increases monoto nically with lowering the doping level p and almost scales with pseudogap t emperature T* over the entire p range examined; 2 Delta(o)(p)similar to 4.3 k(B)T* (p). Furthermore, it is shown that T-c is almost given by renormaliz ing 2 Delta(o) or T* with p; k(B)T(c)(p)proportional to p Delta(o)(p) or T- c(p)proportional to pT*(p).
