Abstract
The cosmology of higher dimensional spacetime models in which ordinary matt er is confined to a hypersurface (brane) is discussed. The nonconventional aspects of the corresponding cosmological scenarios is emphasized. Some iss ues relevant to the primordial universe, such as inflation, are reviewed.
