Abstract
Here are reported two outbreaks in schools of tinea capitis due to zoophili c dermatophytes : Trichophyton mentagrophytes and Microsporum canis. The tw o species give evidence of our local epidemiology in Picardy (North France) related to a rural environment. These two examples also serve to show the need for epidemiological investigation in order to take appropriate prevent ive measures.
