Feh. Muller et al., Monotonic and cyclic high temperature deformation behavior of the ODS nickel-base superalloy PM 1000, J ADV MATER, 32(1), 2000, pp. 9-20
A study of monotonic and cyclic deformation behavior of the oxide dispersio
n strengthened nickel-base superalloy PM 1000 was conducted at temperatures
up to 1200 degrees C in air. To reveal the influence of grain structure an
d texture two different In heats of PM 1000 with identical particle microst
ructure but different grain orientation and grain aspect ratio were investi
gated. Creep resistance depends mainly on texture and weakly on grain aspec
t ratio. The low cycle fatigue behavior of PM 1000 was investigated in tota
l strain control using symmetrical triangular wave shapes. The grain aspect
ratio determines the fracture path, but is not responsible for the observe
d cyclic lifetimes, Instead, lifetime can be predicted on the basis of the
different Young Moduli in (l)- and (lt)-direction, respectively.
