Abstract
The INADEQUATE CR experiment about doubles the sensitivity of the original INADEQUATE experiment but it still suffers from severely deteriorated perfo rmance in the presence of large off-resonance effects. In fact, this limita tion is exacerbated in INADEQUATE CR because of a more complex pulse sequen ce. This paper describes the application to INADEQUATE CR of a general sche me developed by Levitt to compensate an entire pulse sequence for pulse imp erfections such as off-resonance effects. By incorporation of this scheme i nto both INADEQUATE and INADEQUATE CR, it is shown that the doubled sensiti vity of the latter is retained for camphor (covering about 200ppm) on a 500 MHz NMR spectrometer.
