Abstract
Dryadaula terpsichorella (Busck, 1910) has been discovered at two sites in San Diego, California, near the harbor and 24 km distant, in July 1998 and February 1999. The species is widespread in the western Pacific and has bee n known in Hawaii for a century, where the larvae occur among dead leaves o f various plants. The adults perform perculiar, circular 'dances' upon alig hting.
