Abstract
Supercurrent in the weakly conducting c-axis direction of layered supercond uctors is studied. It is shown that in the presence of screw dislocations w ith Burgers vectors parallel to the c-axis, the critical current of small s amples is enhanced with respect to the perfect crystal, each dislocation be ing able to carry a supercurrent I-0.
