Abstract
We have studied the oscillations of the magnetization induced by commensura bility between intervortex and CuO plane distances in YBa2Cu3Oy (y = 6.97 /- 0.02) single crystals using high angular resolution magnetometry. A shar p peak in the temperature dependence of the amplitude of oscillations was f ound at T-f similar to 60 K. It is followed by other changes in the behavio r of the amplitude and irreversible magnetization. We suggest that T-f refl ects the vortex freezing transition from smectic to solid phase; the angula r phase diagram is constructed. [S0163-1829(99)08517-3].
