Abstract
The influence of mechanical stresses and electric and magnetic fields is th eoretically investigated on the ground state and the characteristics of lin ear and nonlinear magnetoelastic waves in a tetragonal antiferromagnet. Mag netic phase diagrams are constructed and the parameters of quasi-acoustic s olitons and the region of their stability are determined. (C) 2000 MAIK "Na uka/Interperiodica".
