The effect of annealing temperature on the structure and magnetic propertie
s of nanocrystalline cobalt films has been studied by nuclear magnetic reso
nance (NMR) and magnetometric (vibrational magnetometer) techniques. Interp
retation of the experimental data demonstrates that the initial films have
an amorphous-like structure due to the high degree of disordering in the in
tergranular regions and nanoparticles. This structure transforms into the e
quilibrium polycrystalline state through the formation of a number of inter
mediate phases. (C) 2000 MAIK "Nauka/ Interperiodica".
