Abstract
In this paper, we look at the problem of radiation from arbitrarily sh aped printed circuits. However, the method is validated by computing a nd comparing results for the radiation from an open end microstrip lin e. The uniqueness of the present approach is to include the possibilit y of source dependent modes, higher order modes, complex modes and the like. The separation of the incident and the reflected waves from the other modes is made possible by the matrix pencil approach. The elect rical parameters defined are then associated with the incident and ref lected waves.
