Abstract
This paper reported the integration of the element stiffness matrix for an axisymmetric finite element formulation. A survey of the various methodolog ies found in the Literature was discussed. Two numerical integration strate gies were presented to overcome the inaccuracy that arose when an element w as on or close to the axis of rotation. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
