Abstract
Mostly, emergence of so called new viruses is due to a change in host range
, of temporal and/or geographical patterns ns. Influenza viruses and influe
nza are an example of the need of the combination of various factors for em
ergence of "new" viruses and associated diseases in addition to virological
events which are essential but not sufficient on their own.
