Electrical burns can be divided into flash or typical thermal injury and hi gh-tension injury. High-tension injuries usually are greater than one thous and volts and produce clinically characteristic entry and exit wounds. The optimal management of patients with high-tension electrical injury has evol ved into a plan of urgent exploration and debridement, aggressive redebride ment, and early wound closure.
