Abstract
A Mathematica application for the production of QuickTime movies and GIF: a nimations (angle to time conversion) to represent collisionally excited tar get states is presented. These states are described by scattering amplitude s (input) for the excitation of individual magnetic sublevels as a function of the projectile scattering angle or the ejected electron angle in ioniza tion processes. Examples for electron-impact excitation and ionization proc esses are presented, but the program can also be used, for example. to visu alize the results of ion-atom collisions, including charge transfer process es.
