Va. Milyukov et al., Novel organometallic derivatives of thioesters of the trivalent phosphorusacids: Synthesis and structure, EUR J INORG, (1), 2000, pp. 225-228
Thioesters of the phosphorous acid containing cymantrenyl and ferrocenyl su
bstituents at sulfur were obtained for the first time from the reaction of
organometallic disulfides with white phosphorus. According to an X-ray diff
raction study tricymantrenyl trithiophosphite adopts an unusual asymmetric
cis, gauche, trans conformation along the P-S bonds with respect to the pho
sphorus lone electron pair. Tri-ferrocenyl trithiophosphate possesses a cla
ssical propeller-like structure in the solid state which is different from
its oxygen analogue.
