Abstract
A genetic algorithm based approach to high-level synthesis of digital circuits is reported in this paper. A solution representation is selec ted that allows different operator types to have different time spans. The different genetic operators are designed based on the solution re presentation. The results obtained on the few available benchmarks com pare favourably with reported results.
