Abstract
A simple method based on an immunodot assay using colloidal gold labels is proposed for the rapid diagnosis of a range of acute enteric infections. Ow ing to its rapidity, high sensitivity, and specificity, the method can be r ecommended for routine use in the laboratory diagnosis of enteric infection s.
