Abstract
Microwave assisted extraction (MAE) of native and spiked polycyclic aromati c hydrocarbons (PAHs) from atmospheric particulate matter and a standard re ference material, SRM 1648 "Urban particulate matter", has been compared wi th Soxhlet and ultrasonic extraction. Results indicated that these techniqu es gave satisfactory results for extraction of PAHs from real atmospheric p articulate samples and SRM 1648.
