Abstract
Allium moly stored dry at 20 degrees or 23 degrees C produced leaves and fl owers after planting at 14-16 degrees C without precooling treatment. Low t emperature (5 degrees C) after planting, however, increased leaf and scape length and rate of elongation with increasing duration of cooling period. L ow temperature requirement, therefore, is low and facultative. Low temperat ure treatment during dry storage may nearly fulfill the requirements for ma ximum leaf length and rapid elongation.
