Abstract
The benzoyl ester of an. iron(III) meso-hydroxyoctaethyl-porphyrin com plex, containing O-18 derived from molecular oxygen, is isolated from the reaction solution of the complex [Fe-III(oep)(OOH)(OH)](-) which i s prepared by reduction of [Fe-II(oep)(py)(O-18(2))] with sodium ascor bate.
