Abstract
This paper reports the development of a stacked MOSFET switch with a unifor mly distributed magnetic structure to coherently deliver 45-ns rise-time pu lses from a 25-kV power supply. Gate jitter problems were avoided, This cir cuit is currently in use delivering variable-width 50-kV pulses for am elec tric field generator. These fields are applied to dry food samples at up to a 300-Hz repetition rate using oppositely biased floating MOSFET stacks fo r simultaneous switching of two 25-kV power supplies.
