Abstract
2-Amino-4-phenyl-5-phenylazothiazole (3), 3-aryl-2-imino-4-phenyl azothiazo les/oxazoles (4a-g) were prepared from 2 and thiourea, appropriately substi tuted phenylurea/thiourea in ethanol. Ail the prepared compounds are charac terized by their elemental analyses and spectral (IR, PMR, Mass) data. A fe w representative compounds have been evaluated-for their antibacterial and insecticidal activities.
