The paper deals with a method of approximately describing functional depend
ences of the magnitudes of the stress and strain vectors in the complex loa
ding of an isotropic material along loading trajectories with angles of inf
lection greater than 90 degrees. The material is loaded at a constant tempe
rature. The method used to calculate the dependences is described by using
the example of a loading process in which the angles of inflection of the l
oading and strain trajectories can be round in one of the coordinate planes
of the five-dimensional space conceived by A. A Il'yushin. Good agreement
is obtained between the results calculated by the proposed method and the e
xperimental data for material EI 437 used in the example.
