Abstract
Ln this study, fruit morphology of sections of the genus Onobrychis were ex amined. Fruit morphology origin, taxonomic position, and phylogeny of the g enus are discussed. The hypothesis obtained from a phylogenetic analysis ba sed on fruit morphology suggests the polyphyly of the genus excluding secti on Dendrobrychis. However, the result supports monophyly of four generic se ctions, Hymenobrychis + (Heliobrychis + (Lophobrychis + Onobrychis)).
