Abstract
The isothermal section of the Sm-Fe-Sn system at 670 K has been studied by EDAX and X-my phase analysis. Two ternary compounds, Sm6Fe13Sn and SmFe0.33 Sn2 have been confirmed and a new compound SmFe6Sn6 has been found. Crystal structure and magnetic properties of these compounds are presented.
