Abstract
Experimental data on {(1 - x)KCl + xCaCl(2)} have been collected from the l iterature. In order to fill existing gaps in the available data on this sys tem we have carried out enthalpy, equilibrium temperature, and heat capacit y measurements using calorimetry and differential thermal analysis. An asse sment of all the data has been made using the thermodynamic "surrounded ion model" (SIM) and a computer program developed by H. L. Lukas. (C) 2000 Aca demic Press.
