Abstract
This paper describes examples of application of rheology to polymer process ing. The examples are chosen among less known problems or inadequately unde rstood ones. The importance of correct diagnosis is emphasized as against r igorous probing required in the fundamental rheology. In explaining the pro blems commonly held misconceptions are pointed out. Both plastics and rubbe r processing are included.
